Every two years EMWWAA proudly hosts the EMWWAA Awards Ceremony to honour the best and brightest ethnic women in Wales. EMWWAA has also organised many fundraisers and other events, to know more about them check out our events.

Science, Technology and Healthcare

To commend a woman who has made an impact in the field of science, healthcare, or technology, whether in industry, academia, or the public sector.

Management and Leadership

To acknowledge the efforts of a female leader — within the private, public sector, third sector — who has shown strong principles, courage, dedication, and a clear vision of future development.

Contribution to the Arts, Culture and Sports

To acknowledge the work of a woman whose talents and efforts have made an impact in the field of art and design, culture – which includes all aspects of the commercial and academic areas of these disciplines. It also includes candidates who have facilitated or contributed to sports.

Social & Humanitarian Achievement

To celebrate a woman who has significantly improved or enriched the lives of others, who have generally helped society as a whole, or who has helped facilitate the integration of different cultures through their charitable and community-based endeavours.

Rhodri Morgan Awards (EMWWAA Ambassadors)

Role of the winners of Rhodri Morgan Awards (EMWWAA Ambassadors)

The Rhodri Morgan Award is an important and prestigious award. It is offered to exceptional women who are role models for their communities and have gone the extra mile to achieve their objectives.

Their role includes:
To raise awareness of EMWWAA by profiling EMWWAA at different events as a spokesperson.

To nominate deserving people for the award ceremony.

To help raise funds by identifying sponsors for the award ceremony through their wider connections.
The administrative work leading to the award ceremony is aided by the Executive/Management Committee. This includes managing the finances, events leading to the awards, i.e. fundraising, tickets sale, publicity, short-listing of candidates, organisation of interviews, trophies, certificates, venue, food, drinks, audio-visual aids, entertainments, chief guest, an invitation to our partners, comperes, and evaluation.
