pROGRAMME

CHEIF GUEST - HON MARK DRAKEFORD, FIRST MINISTER OF WALES

3 COURSE MEAL BY AWARD WINNING CHEF

OUR SPONSORS

I have had the honour and pleasure to be involved in the EMWWAA interviews and selection process. This year the panel had the joy of meeting some outstanding candidates.

I have looked at my records of these interviews and these are the words I used.

Brave, Energetic. Enthusiastic. Inspirational. Articulate. Very Impressive. An ambassador. Passionate. Inspiring. Supportive. Understands the Power of theVoice. Communicator. Approachable. Kind. You Cannot Be What You Cannot See.

Meena and Team: Your energy and investment is reaping dividends.

Professor Sheila Hunt // EMWWAA Judge //

I have been judging these awards ever since they were first established. I always enjoy it but I don’t think I have ever enjoyed it as much as I have done this year. The shortlisted candidates in the social and humanitarian category this year were all exceptional women who had made and are making remarkable contributions both here in Wales and in their native countries. The level of achievement, the self-confidence, and the ability to articulate the purposes and impacts of their work was impressive in itself, but also a real credit to the way these awards themselves have functioned and developed. The whole process has encouraged, supported and offered wonderful role models now for a number of years. It is truly hard to over-estimate the remarkable impact awards like this have on our under-represented communities and their futures. I consider myself very privileged to have been allowed to share in your journey and your successes.
